How long will the bricks be available to purchase?

With majority of construction scheduled to be completed by spring of 2018, please purchase your brick on or before the close of business March 1, 2018 to be included in Phase 1 of the Bicentennial Plaza.

How long until my brick is engraved? Can I see it?

The bricks are laser engraved in large batches. Due to the complexity of storing the bricks, we will not be able to show you your brick until it is installed.

Where will my brick be located?

Bricks will be located in a highly visible walkspace along the interpretive panels of the Bicentennial Plaza.

Where is the Bicentennial Plaza located?

The Bicentennial Plaza is located adjacent to the Illinois REALTORS® headquarters in downtown Springfield on the north and east sides of the building located at 522 S. Fifth Street, Springfield, Illinois.

Who can use the REALTOR® trademark symbol on the brick?

Only members of the National Association of REALTORS® can choose the registered trademark symbol for their brick. Names will be checked with the NRDS membership database.

Will adding the trademark ® symbol count in the character count for my brick?

The REALTOR® trademark symbol will be added on the back end and will not affect character count. If you choose the "R" symbol your line will allow 14 characters versus 20 characters without the "R" symbol.

I made a mistake on my brick order. Can I make changes?

If you made a mistake or would like to add something, please contact the Bicentennial Plaza Legacy Campaign, 217-391-4840 or bicentennialbrick@ilreef.org.

Is your website secure?

Your credit card order is processed using secure SSL encryption. This prevents unauthorized access to your credit card data. We do not save your credit card number.

How will the proceeds from the sale of my brick be used?

Proceeds from the sale of the bricks will be put toward development of the Bicentennial Plaza's educational interpretive panels.

Is my brick purchase tax deductible?

The Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF) is a Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. A portion of your donation may qualify as a charitable deduction for federal income tax purposes. Please consult your tax advisor or the IRS to determine whether your contribution is deductible.

Can I place an order by mail or in person?

What is REEF?

The Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF) is a not-for-profit organization established to aid and promote the work of real estate education throughout Illinois. The Foundation, established in 1970, is supported through the voluntary contributions of those who recognize the importance of furthering academic experience and training in the real estate industry in Illinois.
